Editor’s Note- I completely forgot to give the log to the players to fill out, and we were all really drunk so this is a summery of the HIGH ACTION of that afternoon.
The wandering characters returned to the throne room where Orander was floating, guarding the entrance to the forge. After sharing tales of what had passed since they’d parted ways, it was decided to “take care of” the forge.
A couple players were listing to the double doors, which lead to the forge (according to the prisoner and judging by the sound). Grunk kicked open the door and battle began.
The party spotted a couple Duergar, one at a forge apparently just making forging sounds, and another guarding one of the two bridges that crossed a stream, which split the room in two. A third gray dwarf was waiting behind the bridge guard. Blinky blinked in by the dwarf on the bridge and attacked him. The forging dwarf took up his position at the other bridge. Someone tried to jump over the stream between the two bridges but fell in and had to be rescued by a couple other party members before being swept away. Grunk fired a crossbow bolt at the unarmed dwarf, wounding him badly before he went invisible. Just about then, a rat darted out from a woodpile and gave Grunk a mean shock and also creeped out the rest of the party. The two Duergar guards retreated a bit to protect each other’s flanks. Blinky was taking a beating, so he blinked back to the safe side of the stream while the S-Team swarmed over the two Duergar, dispatching them handily once everyone was safe out of the stream.
In the meantime, Erik, our guest players, used detect evil to discern if the invisible dwarf was in a certain are. It turned out he was, and Orander used burning hands on the area which dispatched the foe, who soon returned to view as a smoldering pile of under-dwarf.
At this time, Kire took a quick peek at the dark part of the room where the stream flowed off to and found what seemed to be the same large hole they found earlier, but on this side there was no ladder. The stream flowed off into the darkness and thundered somewhere far below.
The farthest any of the party members traveled was about 125 feet by Kire in the three hours it took to do all this. Damn you, demon alcohol! But I guess it was a party!
