Dukee discovers we get 1hp/level per day for sleeping. Weeee!!!
We order breakfast; eggs and ale!
We choose to check out the "mundane" staircase
Kire sneaks out in front.
At the top of the winding stair is a door.
We investigate the storage and find a room of kegs!
Also this room has some outlawed vodka.
Also a crate of tobacco.

We smoke up after stuffing a towel under the door.
Kire sings "Purple Haze," then we continue on and find a portal
to some sort of happy hunting grounds.
A head comes out of the painting and attacks Orander! (actually, a lot happened, so let me explain).
They checked out a few other store rooms, then found a private
dining room.
The walls were decorated with all sorts of stuffed heads, and the floor was
carpeted in various exotic furs.
There was a large table facing another "web cam" painting that showed
the valley beyond the tower.
Anytime people enter the room, those heads would sort of spit out these freaky
demon heads with glowing green eyes and mouths, with batwings for ears. So
they came out of the heads, not the painting. SO
A head comes out of [a head] and attacks Orander!
He easily dispatches it.
A matching head attacks Kire.
He stomps it with his sword.
Orander finds a book about the infernal planes.
Kire tries rolling up the rug.
It doesn't almost kill him.
We go into the kitchen with a giant steaming calzone.
We get attacked by 2 ghostly figures.
Orander commands one away, and Aldar turns the other after getting strength
drained.
In the other hall, another portal exits.
There is an orchard.
The second door looks like an office.
There is another portal with chains covering it.
A seal and writing utensils are in the desk (Bo'Arden's seal w/swords around
it.)
Kire pokes the pastry and takes some gas damage.
THE PASTRY ATTACKS!
"The pastry is paying attention to you." -John
Kire taunts the pastry.
"Hey pastry! Come here!"
It does.
It attacks Orander.
Orander uses ray of frost.
Kire hits it with a crossbow and it bursts into fumes.
We laugh hysterically.
Aldar hits it heavily.
"Stick a fork in it. It's done." -Aldar
"That's what I did!" -Kire
We trap it in the fireplace so it burns to death.
"The pastry has been vanquished." -John
With "hall pass" in hand, Orander heads up the
stairs.
Dark room, bright red tapestries with "mark' on them; with blue orb at
the end of the room.
Orander surmises that it may be some sort of portal.
Suddenly a sound of seals is heard coming from in front of Orander.
A stunned Orander looks around, then a bunch of baddies come out.
Kire, inspired by Angus, strums.
Qwand slices and *BOING* it breaks, and does it again on the next one after
Kire hits it.
Suddenly one in a corner sends out a big "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"!
Qwand steps up and swings an axe and *BOING* baddie down.
After wonderful attacks, Qwand misses BIG!
Remnants of the creature went through the wall.
Kire goes into the wall and finds ONLY gold candlesticks.
Qwand goes into wall and
"Hey guys. I found bones." -Qwand
Eat, drink, and sleep.
We wake up and have some breakfast.
Go to the bottom portal and Orander has the plan to tie a string to a rock
and throw them in.
We find a copper.
Office and first floor are connected.
Qwand finds a secret door in the office.
He finds a stone, and two pouches:
Pouch 1: 150 PP
Pouch 2: ring and 2 sapphires (250GP each)
We wait a day for Orander to memorize comprehend languages.
He reads the ring.
The writing is magical so he cannot read it.
Wait
it's a ring of shield that's very weak.
"Let me try something. Everybody takes your weapons out." -Orander
We got to Bo'Arden's private dining chamber.
It doesn't protect him.
While Dukie is off breaking his couch, Kire asks for a hot tub or swimming
pool, but geezers don't have one.
He brings a basin of water but it won't hold a person, so Kire doesn't take
a bath after all.
Kire sets traps all over the place and makes a note of them.
Kire goes to practice the drums in the kitchen.
He is sapped for 6 strength.
Kire tries to run away.
3 more strength are sapped.
He gets back to the room.
He uses the rod and is healed (restored).
Orander destroys it (spook from kitchen) with a Magic Missile.
We go through the orb.
Orander goes first with a rope around him.
We are to tug him back after 1 round.
He touches it and he AND the rope disappear.
"Doh!"
He comes back again after another round.
We all decide to go through.
There's a pit with two bridges across it.
Kire thinks we should take the right bridge, but we flip a coin instead and
take the left.
The bridge drops out.
Aldar almost falls in.
NOW we take the right.
Aldar gets most of the way across, then steps into nothingness, but it turns
out this is all an illusion.
We straight up the middle!!
Those with ioun stones ON get cold in the misty haze ½ way across.
We briefly discuss the Bo'Arden amulets, then push open the huge bronze doors
Aragorn style!
We come to a large room with a foyer and angled walls.
The archway is shaped like Bo'Arden's symbol and the painting are both radiating
magic. (Transmutation and Augury)
