Riders approaching. The group unites (oh boy to be together again). During 3rd watch we hear armor and footfalls. We go to investigate.
"This is very unrealistic. I'm not going to buy this game."
There is a ghostly figure walking along the wall. We meet Ryan the friendly ghost. We releave Ryan and he goes to bed for the "Big Sleep."

The next day Aldar creates a bridge and the group spans the gap with the bridge (with Orander's Floating Disc) and then argues who will cross first. Everyone makes it across. Orander enters a gap under the bridge. Lucian talks to some moss, then Grunk rips it out of the ground and throws it at the door turning it to stone.

"Weeeeeeeeeeeee!" *Thunk... Shatter* -Moss

All the group goes down the rope except Grunk and Eldar, who stay up top and tip the statue over, ringing bells inside the tower.

We are in a room, like a bunkroom. Orander and company enter the next room which is large. There is a portcullis and one door, which ORANDER finds is locked. Kire decides to attack the books in a preventive motion, and gets sprayed by some "spores."

"Does this loincloth make me look fat?" -Grunk

Kire convulses again, but shakes it off.

"What happened?" -Aldar
"I got attacked by a book." -Kire

Grunk open the mechanism /w his "skill." Succeeds, then tosses the key on the floor.
Qwand lifts the gate up and everyone scampers through.
Sputtering globes appear before the party! Floor has recesses with metal rings that glow. What can this be? I'm very afraid.

[For the record, nobody was paying attention. There was one large sputtering globe of light in the middle of a large chamber about 50' away from them, and the rings in the floor were just metal. -DM]

Grunk searches the room making sure it is safe for the rest of the party. A giant SPIDER attacks Grunk. This looks like Grunk is going to die… You can't, you don't have uncanny dodge. Ha Ha, oh, a turn in events. Dex bonus for Grunk he does not get bit and may live after all! It appears we are fighting Phaser Spiders. [*8) -DM] Why can't you jump between planes with an 18 DEX? So battle begins. Grunk gives a great description of a spider that no one else sees. What do Hold and Ready Action mean? A great discussion ensues. Everyone ready for the attack spider appears Grunk crits Lucian cast light Spider bites Grunk this time no way of getting out of this one Kire starts inspire courage.
We wait again.
Orander readys a spell and waits for it to "show it's ugly face." It appears again behind Qwand. Before it can react, Qwand and Grunk drop it. We start to investigate the rest of this floor. Orander detects that the anvil in the smithy is magical. Qwand hits a hammer on the anvil it explodes into a BURNING RING OF FIRE. Qwand is hurt a lot. John Roberts skates by without having to write in the Journal… There was much rejoicing. 8D
